Built on the site of an existing house with a long private driveway, the clients main request was to design a house for well connected outdoor living and entertaining that captures the expansive views over the Waimea Inlet and across to the Richmond Ranges. The dwelling comprises of a separate garage and main house with the bedroom wing at one end and the main living at the northern end. Outdoor living is complete with a large covered patio, pizza oven, pergola and pool, the frame-less glass pool fence ensures the views are uninterrupted. Extensive photo voltaic panel array lowers the living costs while a restrained colour palette and sympathetic roof lines ensures the houses ability to blend into the semi rural landscape
