Currently in planning, situated on an elevated hilltop location on the Kina Peninsular, the dwelling has been designed to make a statement with to take in the commanding view of the landscape and Tasman bay. The approch to the house is intended to sheild the view from the arriving guest. Warm cedar invites the guest toward the entry. Once inside a gallery entry leads them into the main living space where they’re finally greeted by the view out over the bay. The main living space is the main focal point and captures the greatest view. The bedroom wing and amenities are seperated by a small library and connecting outdoor deck area. The house features multiple outdoor living spaces with a covered patio area with fire place, stepped down pool and spa as well and a sheltered and secluded courtyard located behind the main wing. Cantilevered roofs serve to elongate the hosues profile and apperance while razor back clearestory window features add visual interest to the roof line while permiting winter sun deep into the interior. The hosue is clad in a combination of powder coated steel screening, warm natural cedar, plaster and features of concrete panel.
